Lockey Thick Door Kit (Extension Kit)

The Lockey Thick Door Extension Kit includes additional hex bolts and, if needed, a longer spindle to accommodate a thick door or gate. Be sure to indicate which Lockey keyless lock you will be using it with when you add this to your cart, as the kit components vary.

This kit will work on doors or gates that are:

up to 5" thick if you will be using it with a Lockey keypad lock WITHOUT a built-in key override
up to 3" thick if you will be using it with a Lockey keypad lock WITH a built-in key override
(built-in key overrides are located in the center of the round flat knob on the outside lock body)

You will need this kit if any of the following are true:

Your door or gate is thicker than the maximum allowed for the Lockey keypad lock you will be using.

This is usually 2" but this can vary depending on your lock.
To find out the maximum thickness for a specific Lockey keypad lock, see the Product Spec sheet. It is on the "Add to Cart" page of each Lockey keypad lock we carry. You will find it near the top of the page in the center column.

You will be using a Lockey KOS Add-On Key Override Systems with any Lockey 2000 Series keypad lock.

The first few numbers of a lock model number determines the lock series. For example, a 2200 lock would be part of the 2000-Series. Each Series may include single and double-sided locks.

Incompatible Locks

These kits will NOT work with the following Lockey locks:

Lockey 115P Panic Bar Lock.
NOTE: The manufacturer does not make a long spindle with a twist (which is needed for the 115P). However, it is possible to put a twist in the long spindle yourself that would match the angle of the one that comes with the 115P. If you want to try that, then order the regular 1150/1600 Extension Kit.
Lockey 160P Panic Bar Lock.
NOTE: The manufacturer does not make a long spindle with a twist (which is needed for the 160P). However, it is possible to put a twist in the long spindle yourself that would match the angle of the one that comes with the 160P. If you want to try that, then order the regular 1150/1600Extension Kit.
Lockey 285P Panic Bar Lock.
NOTE: The manufacturer does not make a long spindle with a twist (which is needed for the 285P). However, it is possible to put a twist in the long spindle yourself that would match the angle of the one that comes with the 285P. If you want to try that, then order the regular 2835 Extension Kit.
Lockey 310P Panic Bar Lock.
NOTE: The manufacturer does not make a long spindle with a twist which is needed for the 310P. However, it is possible to put a twist in the long spindle yourself that would match the angle of the one that comes with the 310P. If you want to try that, then order the regular 2000/3000 Extension Kit.
Lockey M210 or M210DC Deadbolt if used with EZ Mounting Plates.
NOTE: The EZ Mounting Plates cannot be used with any door over 2 inches thick. They are designed to attach to each other through the door. So, if you have a thick door and you need to use an extension kit, then you will need to mount the lock according to the standard mounting instructions that are included. You will not be able to use the EZ plates as these only work on standard door thicknesses.
