Panic bar shields provide a simple and affordable physical barrier that prevents someone from opening a door/gate by reaching through the gaps between the gate/post or the vertical stiles of the gate and depressing the panic bar. The panic bar and all hardware is mounted to the panic shield first. Then the panic shield is mounted to the gate.
