Additional Installation Information

• Holes in "D" part: The two on the outside are 1 ¾ from the edge on both sides. The middle hole is 11 ¾ from each side (in the middle). 
• Holes in "C" part: The two on the outside are 2 ¼ and 1 ¼ from the ends. The middle hole is 11 ¼ from one side and 12 ¼ from the other side.
• Note: the reason the holes are in different positions is that it offsets the screws from "C" and "D". If the screw holes were the same and lined up then they would hit each other.
• The maximum gap between the gate and the fence post that this will work on is 3 ½ in. 
• If installed on a regular door/gate with a standard strike and spring latchbolt, you will have to cut holes in the gate latch protector for the strike plate.
• If installed on a door/gate with a panic bar and used with a Lockey Panic Shield Value Kit or a Lockey Panic Shield Security Kit, then no cutting is needed! Simply mount the Gate Latch Protector Plate and the Panic Bar into the pre-cut holes in the Panic Shield and use the included Strike Bracket as a catch. Since the Strike Bracket and Panic Bar both mount on the inside of the gate, the latch and strike do not get in the way of the Latch Protector.
