The Lockey SUMO SGL-SS is a heavy-duty single-sided gravity gate latch for pedestrian gates. The SGL-SS prevents safety incidents because it limits access to the pull side only. Features include:

Operation

The keyed sided is usually installed on the inside, but could be used on either side.
If you use the metal key to lock this device, you will need to use the key to unlock it before you can open it. If you can reach over or through the gate, this could be done from either side.
There is knob on the keyed side, but there is no handle or knob on the non-keyed side. Therefore, if the SUMO SGL-SS has not been locked with the metal key:
1. Someone on the keyed side will always be able to open the gate by simply pulling out the knob (circled in red below).
2. Someone on the non-keyed side might be able to open the gate by reaching over or through the gate, if that is possible, and pulling out the knob.
Whenever the gate is closed with even just a little pressure, the rod will automatically push up the 2-pronged hooks (circled in blue) and latch the gate closed.
